Real Dutch Courage

After that enlightening and deeply thought-out post from the Sandman, I thought I should give this blog a bit more Reds discussion. So, last night? Good Paella, good beer, good chat (apart from the Sandman, of course) and finally some alright football. Only alright? When we won 3-0? Well yes, the result was superb, but lets not kid ourselves that PSV were anything other than shite. Which just goes to show just how shite the Arse are, but then of course last Saturday showed that. What did we learn from this game? Masha looks good (how did he not get a game ina fucking shite team like West Ham?) and linked well with Alonso and Gerrard. Crouchigol suddenly seems to have learnt how to head the ball, so we must send him off for a nose-op more frequently. Both the headed goals, as on Saturday came from crosses from the byline on the right - so will someone tell them to try and get beyond the last defender on the left as well. The defence didn’t have anything to do for most of the game, as they were so well shielded by the midfield. The real pity is that Carra’s header didn’t go in, as that would have been loads of points for my Champions League fantasy team – note that the Sandman has a heavy Scumchester and Chelscum contingent. So that should be the quarters wrapped up – who do we want for the semis? Would it be nicer to beat Chelscum again ourselves, or watch them go out to Valencia? Answers on a post-card from Spain please…

Thanks Matt, I was going to elaborate on my posting in due course.
Unlike some in academia who have 70 days holiday a year, I have been busy at work…

Chelsea, how very dare you!!! I can see confusion arising, given the royal blue colour of my Adidas T-Shirt. I think we should avoid Chelsea if possible, so I can continue to wear my T-Shirt in peace.

Great first post, shame the blue scum beat Valencia.
